The companies listed have at least 2 years reputation of the good service. If a registrar is new we put a note along with the company name above. Internet is a medium with the competition at the highest point. So, we estimate the golden number of all registration companies to be in the order of 1,000 each with the 0.1% market share would be the best for the end user. Any registrar with the less than 0.003% market share averaged for 2 years have a higher risk of going out of business, and any registrar with the market share above 3% have a higher risk of a collapse. The cut-off limits would be 0.0003% and 30% correspondingly. (currently, the total number of all .com domain names is about 42mln, 0.003% corresponds to 1,260 domain names).

Lowest True Cost to Own is calculated for the end user.
A. If Domain Privacy feature is not offered by the registrar end user will have to pay $48.00/year for a Postal Box.
B. If Domain Forwarding feature is not offered end user will have to find the service somewhere else, assumed $6.00.
C. If Email Forwarding feature is not offered end user will have to find the service somewhere else, assumed $6.00.

Lowest True Cost to Own a Domain Name is the minimum from the following three values:
1. Domain Registration + Domain Privacy + Domain Forwarding + Email Forwarding
2. Domain Registration + Domain Privacy + Web Hosting + Email Box
3. Domain Registration + Domain Privacy + Broadband Internet with Static IP per year
Usually, the first value is the minimum true cost to own a single domain name.
